ECOMMERCE TRADING EXECUTIVE

The Ecommerce Trading Executive is an integral role within the team, focusing on site content, customer journeys, day to day trading performance, conversion rate and delivering superior customer experience across our UK/ROW and US sites. You will also be helping shape and implement our SEO strategy. You’ll work alongside and report to the Ecommerce Manager to drive the business forward.
Your Responsibilities

TRADING:

- You will help deliver KPIs including conversion rate, SEO rankings, average order value and customer lifetime value

- Owner of key CvR metrics such as Add to Cart rate and PLP and PDP bounce rates

- Daily site walks

SITE CONTENT:

- Responsible for overall site merchandising, analysing customer behaviour and bounce rates using heat map tools and GA data to track performance and optimise landing pages

- Briefing asset creation to graphics team

- Working with buying team on product uploads, and own process of product launches - coordinate the creation of copy and images for new product launches

- Manage and update a range of content types (product descriptions, seo copy for top and bottom of collection pages, key landing pages, brand collection pages, etc.)

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:

- Analysis of returns alongside Buying and Merchandising to improve and optimise onsite experience and reducing returns rate

TECH STACK AND DEVELOPMENT:

- Support ecommerce manager in monthly development sprints, running post development testing

- Develop deep understanding of current and future apps to enhance site performance

SEO:

- Management of SEO dashboard - weekly and monthly reporting - analysing keyword performance, site speed, site crawls, top organic pages on site etc.

- Brief actions to internal teams for site changes, development briefs, content briefs

- Quarterly content strategy to support rankings - keyword research on topic areas, and keyword and SEO briefs to content writers

What you'll need

- Experience managing Shopify or other CMS

- Knowledge of HTML and basic online content editing, and a technical mindset

- Strong understand of and interest in ecommerce tools including Google Analytics

- Experience of Adobe Photoshop

- Comfortable using and acting on data to optimise site performance

- An eye for design and the ability to brief assets and judge what works on a webpage

- 1-2 minimum years experience working in an Ecommerce Executive or Trading role and willing to push your personal professional development to the next level

- Strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities, ability to develop strong trust-based relationships

- Creative, high energy, proactive, can do and a passion to win

- Organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure - to cope with a hectic workload and ensure a fluid running of key duties.

- Strong academic background, with a minimum of a 2:1 from a leading university, and 120 UCAS points.

- A strong mix of analytical, commercial focus and communication skills with an attention to detail will be pivotal to the role.

Of Advantage:

- Understanding or experience in SEO

- Knowledge of ERP systems

- Experience working in a start-up environment in scale up mode

MERCHANDISER

We’re looking for an Apparel and Footwear Merchandiser to join us full-time in our mission to create Europe’s leading premium multi-brand activewear retailer. This role will take overall responsibility for the Merchandising function. The Merchandiser will provide real time support & analysis to the Buyer, be a trusted advisor and add value that will assist in decision making. They will be driven towards involvement in commercialising the product range and driving sales by improving availability and providing a link between commercial and online functions to maximise long term growth strategies and short term trading opportunities. This role is a crucial part of a small, dynamic team now more than ever as our business rapidly expands.
Your Responsibilities

Intake & Stock Management:

- OTB / WSSI weekly maintenance & analysis, seasonality and terminal stock reporting analysis

- Monitor & maintain buying intake margin and gross profit margins

- Analyse best / worst sellers and make informed recommendations for action

- Recommend promotions & re-buys as necessary

- Ensure all best sellers reach full potential - core lines, NOOS lines

- Review sales forecasts based on performance and action re-forecasts

- Identify risk to ensure accurate intake of stock according to plan levels, provide weekly updates on stock / intake issues

- Develop recommendations as to how trading propositions should be adjusted to drive improved performance

Pricing strategy Management:

- Managing re-pricing in season to maximise sell through and sales margin.

Maintaining delivery schedule:

- Managing replenishment deliveries from PO placement through to warehouse receipt.

Support strategy/buy planning, budgeting and forecasting by brand and category:

- Deliver high quality commercial insights to the buying team enabling them to make better trading decisions including supporting them with the quarterly buying strategies with a view to maximising margin through option count, sizing and depth of buy recommendations based on overall business and financial goals.

What you'll need

- Experience working at Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandiser level in a Head Office willing to push your personal professional development to the next level, owning a department and taking ultimate responsibility of the Merchandising function.

- Experience within the retail or consumer sector, and ideally ecommerce.

- Organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure - to cope with a hectic workload and ensure a fluid running of key admin duties.

- Numeracy skills - strong mathematical ability is essential. Competent with Microsoft Excel and quick with mental arithmetic, ratios, percentages, margin calculations and currency exchanges.

- Strong academic background, with a minimum of a 2:1 from a leading university

- A strong mix of analytical, commercial focus and communication skills with an attention to detail will be pivotal to the role.

- Ability to turn complex data into actionable insights and creatively explain complex analysis to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to build and produce essential dashboard reporting in Excel (Power Bi desirable)

- An energetic, positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
